J : Ini versi Windows 8.1 Build 9600, ga percaya ? cek aja sendiri :D

P : Lah terus kalau versi Release Candidate, RTM, OEM dan Retail itu apa ? bedanya dimana ?

J : Versi RC atau Release Candidate itu versi sebelum versi RTM alias masih tahap beta atau pengembangan, cuma versi RC itu hanya "satu langkah" sebelum versi Final, artinya sebelum memasuki versi RTM/Final, masuk terlebih dahulu ke RC dan sebelum masuk ke RC masuk dulu ke versi Consumer Preview dan juga sebelum masuk ke Consumer Preview, masuk dulu ke versi Developer Preview. Nah loh bingung ga :D ? intinya gini, lihat dibawah

Developer Preview --> Consumer Preview --> Release Candidate --> RTM [Final]

Lalu versi OEM atau "Original Equipment Manufacturing" adalah versi Windows yang secara default terinstall di dalam PC/laptop. Pernah membeli laptop yang sudah terinstall Windows ? nah itu yang disebut versi OEM, biasanya dilengkapi dengan recovery disk :D

Dan yang terakhir, adalah versi Retail. Versi Retail ini adalah edisi yang berbentuk DVD Installer, fungsi, fiturnya juga sama persis dengan versi RTM dan OEM hanya saja versi ini dijual dengan harga yang lebih mahal. Gimana sudah jelas ? jadi jangan email or tanya ane lagi ya :D

J : Bukan bro, maksudnya gini, Windows 8 ini secara default atau dasarnya akan menginstall versi Windows 8 Core [Jika ente install menggunakan serial Windows 8 Core yang ada dibawah], setelah selesai install, ente bisa upgrade Windows 8 ini ke versi PRO atau bahkan bisa di upgrade lagi ke PRO With Media Center
